Splitboard bindings from Stone snowboards Canada

Splitboard bindings play a vital role in a splitboarder's kit, and at Stone Snowboards Canada we are excited to offer Union and Spark who have a line of high quality bindings designed specifically for splitboards. The bindings are designed to provide performance, comfort, versatility and reliability.

The splitboard is a versatile tool that allows you to travel the mountain both as a ski tourer on the way up and as a snowboard on the way down. That's why the splitboard bindings we offer are designed to perform in both ski touring and snowboarding modes. They offer solid traction on the way up and exceptional performance on the way down. In addition, we decided to work with these two brands to offer you the lightest splitboard bindings possible. Indeed, having lightweight bindings underfoot is just as important as having a quality splitboard.

These splitboard bindings are also designed to provide a secure and comfortable fit. With their ergonomic strap systems, they give you a precise fit. The bindings feature padding to minimize pressure points and vibrations, providing optimal comfort during long climbs and fast descents.

These splitboard bindings are made with quality materials and tested to ensure durability and reliability for any challenges you may encounter on your path.

Are snowboard bindings compatible with splitboards?

No, obviously, snowboard bindings are not designed to accommodate ski touring mode. And, as for snowboarding mode, your regular snowboard bindings will not accommodate the insert layouts on splitboards. It is therefore essential to have suitable bindings when you want to splitboard.

How to switch splitboard bindings from touring mode to downhill mode?

Open the hooks and clips to separate the splitboard into two parts, then reverse the two parts to avoid catching the tips between them when climbing. Mount the splitboard bindings on the pucks in the center of each part. Place your crampons at the front of the binding. Once you reach the top of the mountain, position yourself in a stable and safe place and take off your skis. Remove the bindings from the pucks and remove your crampons. Then, place the two parts side by side and close the hooks and clips. Finally, place your bindings on the pucks present on either side of your splitboard. You are ready to hurtle down the slope.

How to adjust splitboard bindings for optimal comfort and performance?

Splitboard bindings have the same characteristics as snowboard bindings. Therefore, you will need to adjust the angle of your bindings according to your preferences and your practice. We therefore advise you to adjust your angles as follows: Freestyle angle: +15° for the front foot and -15° for the back foot. Freeride angle: Between 15° and 30 degrees for the front foot. We are always set back on the back foot. All Mountain angle: +15° to 20° for the front foot and between -3° and -10° for the back foot. This setting will allow you to tackle all terrains. But the main thing is to be comfortable for the descent. Beginner: +15° for the front foot and -15° for the back foot. This setting will allow you to find your marks, once comfortable do not hesitate to change the angle.
