Learn more about our splitboard bindings

Splitboard bindings from Stone Snowboards Canada

Splitboard bindings play a crucial role in a splitboarder’s gear, and at Stone Snowboards Canada, we’re thrilled to offer Karakoram and Spark, which feature a range of high-quality bindings designed specifically for splitboards. These bindings are engineered to deliver performance, comfort, versatility, and reliability.

A splitboard is a versatile piece of equipment that lets you explore the mountains by ski touring on the ascent and snowboarding on the descent. That’s why the splitboard bindings we offer are designed to perform equally well in both ski touring and snowboarding modes. They provide solid traction on the ascent and exceptional performance on the descent. Furthermore, we’ve partnered with these two brands to offer you the lightest possible splitboard bindings. After all, having lightweight bindings underfoot is just as important as having a high-quality splitboard.

These splitboard bindings are also designed to provide a secure and comfortable fit. With their ergonomic strap systems, they offer a precise fit. The bindings feature padding to minimize pressure points and vibrations, ensuring optimal comfort during long ascents and high-speed descents.

These splitboard bindings are made from high-quality materials and undergo rigorous testing to ensure they’re durable and reliable, no matter what challenges you might face on your journey.

Explore our selection of splitboard bindings and discover the best Stone Snowboards Canada has to offer to enhance your splitboarding experience. Get ready to discover new horizons and embark on thrilling adventures with the splitboard bindings from Stone Snowboards Canada.

Are snowboard bindings compatible with splitboards?

No, clearly, snowboard bindings are not designed for backcountry skiing. And when it comes to snowboarding, your standard snowboard bindings will not fit the insert patterns on splitboards. It is therefore essential to use the right bindings when you want to go splitboarding.

How do you switch splitboard bindings from touring mode to downhill mode?

Open the hooks and clips to separate the splitboard into two sections, then reverse the two sections to prevent the tips from catching on each other during the ascent. Mount the splitboard bindings on the pucks in the center of each section. Attach your crampons to the front of the binding. Once you reach the top of the mountain, find a stable, safe spot and step out of your bindings. Remove the bindings from the pucks and take off your crampons. Next, place the two sections side by side and close the hooks and clips. Finally, attach your bindings to the pucks on either side of your splitboard. You’re all set to hit the slopes.

How do you adjust splitboard bindings for optimal comfort and performance?

Splitboard bindings have the same features as snowboard bindings. Therefore, you’ll need to adjust the angle of your bindings based on your preferences and riding style. We recommend setting your angles as follows: Freestyle angle: +15° for the front foot and -15° for the back foot. Freeride angle: Between 15° and 30° for the front foot. We always keep the rear foot set back. All-Mountain angle: +15° to 20° for the front foot and between -3° and -10° for the rear foot. This setup will allow you to tackle all types of terrain. However, the most important thing is to feel comfortable during the descent. Beginner: +15° for the front foot and -15° for the back foot. This setting will help you get the hang of it; once you’re comfortable, feel free to adjust the angle.
