Want to learn more about our snowboards and splitboards?

Our boards are made from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests—this is a top priority for us. All Stone boards are crafted using unique, original molds and feature a refined design.

Let’s talk about quality! Our boards are crafted with the utmost care in Europe, and the reason we can offer prices that are almost half those of our competitors is that we’ve cut out all the middlemen! When you buy a Stone Snowboards Canada board, you’re dealing directly with us—we’re your point of contact! And at Stone, we have boards to suit every taste:

Freestyle and All-Mountain Snowboards

Here you'll find a range of boards designed for freestyle but also incredibly versatile; you can switch from the snowpark to backcountry riding without compromise—your board will go wherever you go!

Freeride and All-Mountain Snowboards

Boards designed specifically for powder and backcountry riding, as well as versatile boards for mountain lovers who want to have a blast on all kinds of terrain.

Splitboards

A splitboard at this price? It’s possible—again, because we’re both the manufacturer and the retailer, so there are no middlemen. Our splitboards feature the best bindings and the highest-quality construction available. There’s something for everyone: from pure freeride splitboards to all-around splitboards.

Used boards

To get an even better deal than you’d expect, our used boards are inspected in our workshops! Our used boards are often ones that were ridden for just an hour during a magazine test or a weekend resort test.

What is the difference between a snowboard and a splitboard?

Snowboards and splitboards are similar in their basic form and function: riding down snow-covered slopes. Splitboards differ in their design and their ability to be used for ski touring to reach the peaks. Unlike snowboards, splitboards can be split into two parts to form touring skis. Using them therefore requires specific bindings that adapt to the board’s versatility, as well as accessories such as climbing skins and poles. Splitboards are very popular among snowboarders looking to venture off-piste.

Snowboard or splitboard: which should I choose based on my riding style?

The choice between a snowboard and a splitboard will depend on your riding style, especially since each board (snowboard or splitboard) has a different tip, tail, and core. To help you make your decision, we recommend choosing a board based on the type of riding you want to do. So, if you want to do freestyle, we recommend choosing a snowboard labeled with a snowboard park sticker. If you prefer freeriding, snowboards—as well as splitboards labeled with a helicopter sticker—will offer you maximum thrills and comfort. However, we recommend splitboards if you prefer off-piste riding. Their versatility between snowboarding and ski touring will let you rediscover the joy of climbing and descending snow-covered peaks. If you don’t have a preference for a particular style (all-mountain), we recommend choosing a snowboard with a mountain sticker. These boards will provide a smooth ride on all types of terrain. They are perfectly suited for beginners.
