Description
Adult splitboard - Mighty Split
New mighty splitboard made in Europe, freeride all mountain available in 3 sizes: 158, 162 and 166 cm, awarded best splitboard 2025 by ski rando mag.
New mold, New shape, make way for the new Mighty. Developed with Hugo Serra to bring even more punch to the splitboard. Thanks to Hugo's experience, we can say that he has developed a hell of a ship! This splitboard fits into our already well-stocked range and is already on the podium. Barely released & here it is receiving an award from ski rando magazine, a real magazine in the hiking world. This splitboard has a 3 cm set back on the back foot which will allow you to comfortably plane in powder, perform beautiful turns on the slopes. As an all mountain freeride splitboard, you will be able to ride in ultra fresh snow as well as average without any worries. This shape was designed around the Legalize so that the Mighty is also a success story. Also incorporating the floorboard system in order to eliminate vertical play & gain rigidity, the Mighty brings the best in the world of splitboarding. You will be able to ride on any terrain without any discomfort, its playful & high-performance side will not leave you indifferent. It has a biaxial fiber top sheet to gain comfort when moving. The core is a mix of poplar for its strength & ease of twisting with paulownia for its ecological and light side without forgetting its robustness. To strengthen the combination of these 2 woods, we have added carbon all along each ski to gain dynamics in torsion. A high-end splitboard must receive an excellent sintered base, which is why we added an almost full black IS 7200 with just inserts at the nose & tail with the brand logo. The blacker a base is, the less cutting there is, the better the glide will be, plus in the event of a snag with a small stone, you can easily repair it. To bind the whole thing together, we pressed the splitboard with Bio-sourced resin.
The combination of all these ingredients allows us to give it a flex of 8/10! A splitboard deserves a slightly stiff flex because we know that the flex is divided between 2 skis. The softer the splitboard, the more likely you are to break a ski. This is not our case, especially since in the long run the flex always depends a little on your way of riding.
On the design side, photographer Matt Georges did us the pleasure of intervening by grafting beautiful mountains & playing with the thermal side of the exposures which makes the whole thing rather sparkling. His arty side gives the board a boost.

What is meant by flex?
This is the way a board tends to twist. At Stone we evaluate it from 0 to 10. The stiffer a board is, the more it is designed to send & less forgive. Conversely, the softer a board is, the less responsive it will be when relaunching but will forgive you certain mistakes. Let's explain: at the start, the softer a board is, the more over the sessions the board will become a real uncooked sausage. At Stone we consider that riding a board that is a little stiff at the start is really optimal. Why? The core of a board is always made over the days, weeks, months that you ride your board. At Stone, a Flex 7 is considered a good alternative to go everywhere. We will then gravitate between 6 & 8 to lean more or less towards a particular desire as regards the flex.
Flex 8: Attributed to freeride snowboards to have a strong rebound and a grip. Sometimes, the stiffer it is, the less forgiving it is, you have to be strong on your legs. In splitboard, this flex is also for fans of boards that do not move in the axis or in conversions. The flex is always done by the rider.

HARDENER 6012
Hardener 6012 is a light brown liquid that is a mixture of polyaminoamide and aliphatic amines, produced with up to 65% plant-derived carbon that has been confirmed by an independent radiocarbon laboratory in AMS tests in accordance with ASTM D6866. The final plant-derived carbon content depends on the ratio between the two components. In the case of SYSTEM 6012, it is 22%.

NEW FLOORBOARD SYSTEM
This brand new technology allows, among other things, to eliminate movements at the junction in the center of the board. A stainless steel plate that is inserted into its guide, it's so simple that we made you a drawing. The board is assembled as before and without difficulty, and rides like a classic split. A snow and ice scraper (provided) is to be fixed on a stick for easier assembly.

Directional shape with a 30cm set back.
Camber Detail: "Hybrid" Camber + Rocker. It's a mix between a Classic Camber & a Camber that pulls flat. Obviously the rocker will allow you to float like a boat.
Use
SPLITBOARD
You can ride in the mountains with a snowboard that splits in two. No need to go ski touring to exult! You understand, the splitboard will allow you to climb your favorite or unknown mountains without snowploughing & having to ski back down! A splitboard has the same characteristics as a snowboard. It can be freeride, freestyle, all mountain... The bindings in ride mode will give all the rigidity of a classic snowboard. The construction is adapted to save weight. You will not feel any difference. Our Stone nose & tail tightening systems (clips & hooks) bring everything together perfectly. On all our models, our custom Stony skins match 100%. We are the only brand in the world to have 8 splitboards in the catalog, we believe strongly in this practice, which is why in winter 2020 we finished as the French leader in Splitboard. Thanks to you, we continue the adventure with the same passion.
FREERIDE
What's better than practicing your sport freely? Going off the beaten track, jumping any bump, enjoying the powder in all its forms! Freeriding is the very essence of snowboarding. To do this, it is essential to find out about the risks presented by the riding area, necessary to know the weather and wise to have the right board. Generally less centered on its inserts with sometimes a typical shape, the freeride snowboard is set back on the back leg (set back). Why? The more you are on the back leg, the less you will force & the more you will float in the powder. You can recenter your bindings by moving them from insert to insert but if you don't do it you will not be hindered on the slope to make a turn or any curves.
ALL MOUNTAIN
It's a bit like freestyle with a freeride accent. A more experienced rider will take an all mountain splitboard to go everywhere. Both on the slopes and in the powder or in a snowpark. If we have the budget, we will definitely have one board per practice. It's always better, now if we don't want to rack our brains, then we will choose this program to do everything. Generally with a slight set back on the back foot of a few centimeters, we will also notice that the flex is often a little stiffer, which is a little less forgiving than a freestyle board. When we have to send it on the slopes or in variable snow, it will hold better. This is what differentiates a freestyle board from an all mountain. Our Team rider Hugo Serra rides an all mountain in all circumstances. This is the kind of board he rode on the Freeride World Tour with. Chaining beautiful curves then jumping rock bars & doing a little flat... if that's what you're looking for then the all mountain board is the versatile board par excellence.
